What-Ho Hellfire-ites!
I feel a bit like I'm standing on the crest of a mighty hill just as the first cracks of dawn are showing on the horizon...
We're so nearly there! So very, very nearly there!
After what I can only describe as one of the longest and most trying challenges of my not-especially long, but nor entirely short life The Old Hellfire Club could not be much closer to being in each and every one of your hands! Backers across Europe, Australia, Asia and the US all have their shiny new boxes and have breathed in deep of that new game smell!
My hearts go out to the most stalwart of all - our Canadian sisters and brothers. But your copies ARE on their way thanks to the phenomenal MISSION: FUN & GAMES! I'm not going to try and describe the frustration that getting freight from the US to Canada in the uniquely awful confluence of circumstances in which we find ourselves, but please accept my sincere apologies that they have impacted on you the most. You didn't deserve that - Canada deserves better!
And so, as we head with what I can only hope is alarming speed, towards a very final update - may I make a plea of you all...

To all of you who have been in touch over the past few weeks to tell me how much you've enjoyed your game - thank you so much! I will be in touch with each of you as soon as I can - I'm afraid the last few months have been a bit of a struggle here in Hellfire HQ. Nothing tragic, and certainly nothing anywhere near as awful as so many have been through, just an awful lot of life suddenly happening at once. Fortunately, I get to be in contact with so many of you as a reward for having made it through a very, very busy summer! Huzzah!
In my next - and I'm damn well hoping for your sake's - final delivery update I cannot wait to share with you what's coming next. The plans we have are REALLY something special!

We Begin... Greganezzer D’Arcy was dead to begin with. But, as Eastertide approaches he was haunted by the some ghostly cress who warned him to change my evil ways and of the coming haunting by three spirits... The first, a disembodied chimney sweep, had shown him the mistakes of his past - working a teacher to death in my school days and falling out of love with a sewer maintenance operative... The second, who happened to be a disheartened David Livingston, who has revealed to him the true depths of Tiny Tim's depravity! Can Greganezzar survive his third visitation and save the day? Yes - we're at the finale already! But you can still decide how he celebrates!

What-Ho Hellfire-ites!
Yes! It's true! It's finally, finally true!
All across the British Isles, throughout Europe and even in the Antipodes (that's Australia to the likes of you and me) fabulous, wonderful Hellfire-ites are all ready embarking on their adventures with their shiny, brand-spanking new copies of... The Old Hellfire Club!
So many of you have already been in touch to let me know that they've arrived safely, to appraise me of the delightful rush of new game smell (woody and with a pinch of cinnamon in one case) and to share your first forays into the madness and the majesty, the drunkenness and the desperation of your very first adventures in the world that you... Yes, You... were absolutely integral in bringing to life!
As always (but never, ever lessening) ... THANK YOU!
This news, however, comes with a maddening and deeply disappointing note.
After an utterly unforecastable length of time some components for North American backers are still held up in customs in spite of having been assured that they would arrive over a month ago. I had desperately wanted this to be my final message of thanks knowing that everything was safely on its way in hope for which is why I've delayed sending this message, but this isn't yet the case. Yet. I'm working with my logistics partners and couriers to do whatever can be done to push us over the line.
To that end - All US pledges that can be entirely fulfilled currently will be dispatched tomorrow. I'm in negotiations to get the Canadian shipment to similarly be heading over the border tomorrow. If I can't get a good answer very soon on when the remaining components currently stuck in customs will be released I will start make arrangements for the remaining pledge items we do already have (which will include the complete games) to be dispatched immediately to backers to be followed by the held-up elements at no extra cost.
In the meantime, if you can wait no longer please do take a look at the FREE online edition on Tabletopia (with HUGE thanks to an extraordinary generous member among our ranks who created the WHOLE thing) meaning you can start playing it with friends online RIGHT NOW - AND FULLY COMPLIANT WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING! We currently have a truly staggering rating of 8.1 out of 10 right now drawn only from completely independent gamers and we would ADORE to have more people tell us what they think! Just a couple of clicks of your mouse (or from anyone you play with) would make a HUGE difference to Old Hellfire Games' future as we need a mere thirty ratings to get an official BGG ranking and by the looks of things we could be looking to do very well indeed. If for nothing else, we'd appreciate it colossally!

What-Ho Hellfire-ites!
Right - let's start with the incredible news!
This might just be the last time you hear from me before your long awaited copy of The Old Hellfire Club lands on your doorstep!
Yes - You read that right! After withdrawal, hospitalisation, the miracle of life, hospitalisation again, trade war, pestilence and so many other things... we're finally there!
The European (and one VERY welcome Australian!) copies of The Old Hellfire Club and all their add-ons and extras sit mere meters away from me ready to be packed up and sent out starting tomorrow!
The North American copies are safely tucked away in the Gamerati shipping depot awaiting one final delivery and that will be winging its way to them express delivery tomorrow!
In short - this really, really could very well be... it.
I'm going to save the big thank you for after the final package is posted, but please imagine that I'm saying it now anyway because I'm thinking it because you ALL deserve it!
